The way Dylan teared up during Annika’s vows is something I’ll never forget. It is such an honor to film such intimate and soulful moments. I loved being back at Agave of Sedona, one of the best wedding venues in Sedona, working with Casey Green Weddings and as always, it was a joy to shoot with Bon Miller Preview above, full film below.
There were so many sweet moments from Emily and Casey’s Agave of Sedona wedding. There was a lot of mention of Emily’s father, who has passed away. He is clearly very missed, and during the ceremony, there was a beautiful finch that kept fluttering over the audience, perching and keeping watch. He stuck around for family portraits after, and it truly felt like a sign, a symbol, a coincidence, something for sure. I also just loved their vows and felt grateful that not only do I get to capture how a wedding looks, but how it sounds, and how it feels. We snuck away for some stunning portraits at sunset with photographer Haily Golich and the lighting was magic. This wedding was planned by Casey Green Weddings, and she is phenomenal. Rachel and Bob got lucky with the snow on the red rocks. It never sticks around Sedona for long, so they hit the jackpot. To kick off their wedding day together, we started with a first look and portraits at Tlaquepaque and then headed over to Agave of Sedona. I loved their love story- the two met playing kickball. Rachel kicked and as she was running to base, she tripped over her feet and totally wiped out. She got up and laughed and kept going, and Bob found this entire thing completely endearing and immediately wanted to know more. Proof that often we aren’t attracted perfection, but to humility and humanity. Film above, preview below.
858 days. That’s how long Julia and Tyler had to wait to get married. Julia and Tyler were radiating joy the entire day. I seriously felt like I was filming Julia as she experienced her dreams coming true. From her first look with her dad to soaking in the sunset at airpot vortex with Tyler, she loved it all. I am so happy for this sweet couple. They are ready to conquer the world as man and wife. Full film above, preview below.
Taylor and Kyle finally got to celebrate their wedding after COVID foiled their original plans. They eloped at a courthouse several months before the wedding, but waited to celebrate with friends and family. The wait was worth it and their ceremony was beautiful. Taylor’s first look with her father was one of my favorite wedding moments ever. The vows were so heartfelt and having their loved ones there to witness their love was powerful. The toasts and dances at the reception brought with them all the emotions you hope to feel at a wedding. There was laughter, tears, good food and drink, and a wild dance floor.
The wedding was held at Agave of Sedona, and this venue delivers every time. The views are some of the best from any venue in town, the reception area has large windows and room for dancing, there is a full kitchen, and the patio brings extra space for guests to mingle and enjoy the fresh air.

Vita and Jason came from New Jersey to get married in Sedona, and they brought their family and friends with them. They had the best energy, accents, and I laughed when their friends told me how terrible the pizza in Sedona was, although Vita thought it tasted delicious (hooray for everything being great on your wedding day). I loved Vita’s first look with her father. I also loved when Jason fed her cake, kind of like a parent feeds a toddler. She gave him quite the look for that. The dance party after dinner was one that will be hard to rival, and of course, the opening speech in this wedding film is one of my favorites ever. I love a good wedding speech. Everything came together for Nina and Tyler’s beautiful Sedona wedding. Nina is an RN and has been on the frontlines caring for COVID patients this last year. Tyler has been by her side supporting her through it all and working hard in the paving industry. This power couple is hilarious, kind and completely in love. I was so happy they could have friends and family gather around, many of them fully vaccinated. It’s a joy to watch loved ones celebrate after such a tumultuous year.
I loved being back at Agave of Sedona for the first time since March 2020. Shooting with Victoria from White Desert Photography is always a joy. I also brought along Jen Sawyer as my second shooter along with her sister Rachael, an excellent drone pilot. The wedding was planned by Casey Green Weddings, and she is the queen of the best timelines ever. Live music and entertainment was provided by Lucky Devils Band. It had been far too long since I’ve heard live music. This year, spring feels more amazing than ever. Full film above, preview below.
Jordan and Matt were married at Agave of Sedona the weekend everything started to really shut down. Some of the guests were unable to travel to the wedding, but most were there. I made sure to wash my hands well before eating and refrained from touching my face, but other than that, things felt pretty normal. It’s interesting how looking back, it’s like we had no idea what was coming. One big clue though, was that the original photographer had to find replacement photographers last minute, because she had just returned from Spain and was self quarantining for 14 days (SO SMART of her, and her replacements were fabulous).
Little did I know then, this was my last wedding for a while and one of the final weddings at Agave of Sedona before the governor’s shelter in place orders. My calendar was booked almost every weekend through April and I was gearing up to have my busiest spring ever, but since then every single shoot has been rescheduled or cancelled. In all honesty though, I am doing fine, and I really feel so sad for the couples out there who have had to cancel, reschedule, and shift their wedding vision.
I am so happy that Jordan and Matt unknowingly squeezed in their wedding before things got really crazy. Their wedding was beautiful, and they were surrounded by so much love. Their bridesmaids and groomsmen gave some of the best speeches I’ve heard, and it was a privilege to be there! Just typing about this has me missing capturing human nature in some of its finest forms. Congratulations Jordan and Matt and I hope you’re enjoying your quarantined honeymoon stage.

Thuy and Matthew’s wedding feels like a lifetime ago, although it really wasn’t! Both are AZ natives that now live in Washington. It was the last wedding I filmed where I wasn’t even thinking about the virus! Where I danced at the reception in a big group of people, and took food from the buffet without thinking twice. A week later, I had another wedding, and by then things had really changed.
Thuy is a medical professional, and I am so happy that their wedding happened to fall in early March, where guests could still travel and plans could go off without a hitch. Soon after her wedding, her work turned into chaos.
Matthew and Thuy planned a gorgeous wedding at Agave of Sedona. They are high school sweethearts, have traveled the world (even snorkeled in Iceland) and created successful careers. I was especially touched by the love they both have for each other’s parents, and the love their parents have for their spouse. Their parents knew them as awkward teens! Same with their siblings- they all grew up together and have a real love for one another. They seemed more like true siblings than in-laws.
Congratulations Thuy and Matthew!! I love watching your quarantined newlywed life on Instagram.

I can’t get enough of this wedding. First off, Sarah was the happiest bride with the best laugh. She was laughing or doing the cry/laugh all day. And Michael was so sweet. It was clear he was ecstatic to be marrying his best friend. These two were overflowing with joy, and it was like they both knew they had won the jackpot. Sarah gave a good “woohooo” during the ceremony when the nitty gritty was about to start, and I laughed/cried out loud.
Sarah and Michael asked Sarah’s father to be the officiant. I’ve been waiting and hoping to film a wedding with a father as the officiant, and it was just as incredible as I hoped. Later during his speech at the reception, he said that it was the thrill of his life to be asked to do this. Rewatching the footage, I cried a good 10 times. All the speeches and readings were beautiful and moving. These two have great support behind them. I love this couple and I love this film! Also, Agave of Sedona is a fantastic venue. I was also able to work with Sedona Bride Photographers, whom I love, and A Day to Cherish Weddings. Fresh From the Kitchen provided the food, and everything was delicious. Floral design was by Sedona Mountain High Flowers, and hair and makeup by Sedona Beauty Team. There is so much wedding talent in Sedona and it’s a joy to work with everyone. Kimberly and Christian’s love story is one of my favorites yet. Of all the apartments in New York City, she chose the one right across from his. He landed his childhood dream job of an NYPD police officer. She moved to New York City and landed a job with Inside Edition as a news producer. Soon after she moved in, she knocked on the door across the hall to ask for a dress zip. It wasn’t Christian who answered, but his roommate (best man!). The roommate told Christian about the lively redhead next door. Christian soon met this fun, outgoing beautiful woman at the bar, and the rest is a total romantic comedy. Watch the full film below…he tells the story and it’s sooo good.
Kimberly has AZ roots, but the majority of guests traveled from great distances to beautiful Sedona. Agave of Sedona is a wonderful wedding venue. The ceremony location is jaw droopingly beautiful, and the ceremony room is just lovely with a great dance floor and plenty of room for mingling. Rain was in the forecast for pretty much the entire day, but the wedding gods kept the rain away for when it mattered. Not a drop fell during the ceremony, and clouds kept the sun at bay, making beautiful light for filming. We then headed out for a romantic session on the rocks and got some fantastic footage as we watched a storm roll in. We played for along as we dared until the clouds broke and we had to run to the car with umbrellas, laughing.
Kimberly and Christian then entered their reception with a choreographed first dance, which blew me away. They totally downplayed it ahead of time, saying they just had a few moves..yah right…it was incredible. The rest of the night was just about as ideal as a wedding can be… heart warming speeches with laughs and tears, toasts, and a huge dance party.
Oh, and one huge important detail…Kimberly wore her mother’s wedding dress. She had it altered at The Wedding Dresser, a dress altering shop in Brooklyn. They took away the 80s poofy sleeves and made it just absolutely gorgeous and modern. I loved it…watch for the first look with her mother in the film.
