Sky Ranch Lodge Wedding // Jocelyn + Gerson {Sedona Wedding Videographer}

November 06, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Jocelyn was a total boss babe. She planned her entire wedding to the last detail, and it was gorgeous. She kept everything on track the day of and wasn’t even stressed as she delegated down to the wire. Super bride, for sure.

I left this wedding so grateful to have witnessed this intimate, joyful wedding, and to have met Jocelyn and Gerson, their families and friends. It is such a privilege to be able to meet couples like Jocelyn and Gerson, and then capture one of the best moments in their lives. I am so blessed that over and over, I am reminded that love is real, people are good and there is joy all around us. Full film above, preview below.

L'Auberge de Sedona Wedding // Nychel + Keith {Sedona and Flagstaff Wedding Videographer}

November 06, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Nychel and Keith had their original wedding plans changed but rose above to create their own, intimate, incredible micro wedding. Their California venue cancelled their wedding, so they decided to come to L’Auberge de Sedona. And not kidding, they, like so many of my couples this year, said their wedding was better than they had planned in the first place.

One of the highlights for me was the music that was played during the procession. Nychel’s dad is a musician, and he loves the Beatles and would play “Michelle” for her, but sing it Nychel (because they rhyme:)). The violinist played a different Beatles song for each person that walked down, and of course, Michelle (or Nychel, ma belle) was one of them. Micro weddings can be the best of elopements and big weddings. Close family and friends are still there, yet it is intimate, romantic, and all your own. After the wedding, we drove to a few gorgeous Sedona settings and got the most romantic footage. Congratulations Nychel and Keith! Full film above, preview below.

Sky Ranch Lodge Wedding // Melissa and Sean {Sedona and Flagstaff Videographer}

October 26, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

I loved this wedding. It helped me remember the joy of big weddings. There were a full 50 people there. Definitely the biggest wedding I’ve filmed since March. I must say, I have missed the dance parties.

Melissa was such a beautiful bride. That dress fit like it was made just for her. Melissa’s parents live in Sedona, and Melissa knew all about the fun Sedona things she wanted to include in her wedding. She and her bridesmaids rode the trolley over to Tlaquepaque to meet Sean and the guys for their first look. When he saw her, I remember him saying “hot wife!” Dang straigh. Tlaquepaque is such a fun place to film. I love that stone tunnel. The tricky part is dodging the tourists with my lens. You can’t remove them from footage like you can from photo. After filming the bridal party and grabbing some romantic shots, we headed over to Sky Ranch Lodge for the ceremony. Melissa’s sister was the officiant, and she did a fabulous job. Their vows were absolutely gorgeous and tender. For sunset, we headed to a beautiful red rock location, and then headed back to the venue for dancing and speeches. Doesn’t get better than that! Sedona Elopement // Brandon + Rebecca {Sedona Elopement Videographer}

October 03, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Brandon and Rebecca changed their plans so many times. They were originally supposed to be in the tropics for their wedding. Because of COVID-19, they switched it to the Catalina Mountains above Tucson, AZ. These mountains experienced a terrible fire this summer, and so their wedding was cancelled again. They decided on an adventure in Sedona on a beautiful evening. Red Rock Rubicon Jeeps took us up to this incredible location, and with a few family members, Rebecca and Brandon were married.

I love how resilient Rebecca and Brandon were, and their commitment to get married this summer, no matter what.

Brandon’s vows in the sneak peek above took my breath away. Their longer film will be kept private.

Orchard Canyon on Oak Creek Wedding // Samantha + Tyler {Flagstaff and Sedona Wedding Videographer}

October 03, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Samantha and Tyler are Flagstaff locals. I love love my destination couples, but it’s always so fun to have the Flagstaff connection.

Samantha and Tyler had the most beautiful wedding at one of my favorite venues, Orchard Canyon on Oak Creek. The peach, apple, and plum trees were heavy with fruit, and Marisa from Simply Sweet Photo and I, couldn’t resist asking permission from the head chef to pick a peach (which I scarfed on the drive home).

Samantha and Tyler had their family around them, as well as their sweet pup, as they committed their lives to each other. I absolutely loved how happy their pup was all day. She seemed to be barking her approval during the ceremony, and it was so joyful. Samantha embroidered their initials and date on masks for their wedding guests, which was such a fun touch. Congratulations Sam and Tyler!

Cabin Forest Flagstaff Wedding // Missy + Leah {Flagstaff Wedding Videographer}

September 05, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Missy and Leah met playing rugby. Even better, they met playing rugby in Flagstaff. Missy lived in Vegas, and Leah in AZ. Distance couldn’t keep them apart, and soon Missy made the leap to move to AZ with Leah.

Leah and Missy created the most beautiful, intimate wedding. We were out at a beautiful cabin, convenient to town, yet it felt remote (an amazing thing about Flagstaff). There was live music, an incredible table setting, delicious food from Main Street Catering, and the perfect ceremony officiated by their close friend and former roommate. Missy and Leah had their parents there, and the love and support for this couple was obvious.

Brad, from Aero Visuals came up to Phoenix to fly drone and did a phenomenal job.

Under Canvas Moab Wedding // Claire + Jeff {Flagstaff, Sedona, and Moab videographer}

August 26, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Claire and Jeff. Where to even begin? About a year ago, my bff Angela Hays Photography told me she had a bride that wanted us to travel to the Dolomites in Italy, July 2020. I love shooting with Angela and doing so in Italy sounded like a total dream. We immediately started planning.

Claire and Jeff are both fighter pilots for the US Air Force. Claire was stationed in Italy and Jeff in Vegas. Getting married at a vineyard near Venice and escaping to the Dolomites for a couples’ session after was the perfect plan. And then COVID-19. Italy suffered so much devastation in Italy and Claire was there through it all. We were hopeful that things would settle down by summer. In Italy, things did get better, but in the USA, they got worse. We were holding onto hope even into early June until it was clear that no one from the states would be traveling to Europe for a very long time. We were all a little/lot crushed.

Claire and Jeff were planning to get married on July 4th, Independence Day, and decided this day was non negotiable. They changed their plans to Under Canvas Moab in Utah, and the wedding was AMAZING. The day of the wedding, we went rafting together on the Colorado. That evening there was a beautiful ceremony and dinner at Under Canvas Moab. There was also a full moon rise that I will never forget. The next day, we headed up to Canyonlands for a magical couples session. Claire and Jeff were so gracious, cheerful and just grateful to be getting married, no matter where they were. They are already on new assignments abroad, so fitting it in during a pandemic was no easy feat.

Claire and Jeff also had the greatest family and friends, and it really was an honor to be with them all on the 4th of July. There were so many distiguished pilots, armed forces, and veterans there. Thank you for all your service!

R+J Flagstaff Forest Wedding {Flagstaff Wedding Videographer}

August 26, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

R and J had the most beautiful wedding at a rustic log cabin with incredible views of the San Francisco peaks. These two asked me to keep their wedding film private, a request I will always grant, but they happily said we could share their preview.

It is truly an honor to be part of such intimate, sacred celebrations. R had one of the most contagious laughs I’ve ever heard, and J, a good foot taller than R, was beaming the whole time. I love when I show up to the wedding, and the groom is acting like he won the jackpot.

I also loved that the 30 minute drive to this location was on over 10 miles of dirt road directly behind my house. The forests here are huge and unbroken. Northern Arizona is wonderful.

Sedona Enchantment Resort Elopement // Casey + James {Sedona Wedding Videographer}

August 06, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Casey and James came from Michigan to elope. They brought their longtime best friends to officiate and witness. I was so happy for the four of them and couldn’t help picture them raising their future children together and taking beach vacations. Friendships like this are never to be taken for granted.

Casey and James were also very adventurous, as it was hot, and we hike a good 20 minutes uphill to get to their spectacular elopement spot. We had the whole thing to ourselves, and it was magic. I don’t think any of them had been to Sedona before. I love being with people as they experience Sedona beauty for their first time. They kept exclaiming how small the scenery made them feel, in a good way :) It’s a big, beautiful word out there.

Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club Wedding // Trish and Michael {Flagstaff Wedding Videographer}

August 06, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Trish and Michael are both NAU alumni. They now live in California, but as soon as they were engaged, they knew they wanted to come back to Flagstaff to get married. With COVID-19, they were still able to keep their date and their ceremony venue, but they had to move their reception to the Weatherford Hotel, which is a fabulous backup plan! And lucky for them, the governor of AZ increased group size to 50 right before their wedding. I loved having the mountain backdrop for the ceremony and then moving to downtown for the wedding. I absolutely adore Flagstaff summer weddings.

Preview above, full film below. In the film below, listen to Michael’s vows. He has a story about their first backpacking trip and makes an analogy about carrying heavy loads together through life. So sweet!

Sedona Elopement // Sara + Marcus {Sedona and Flagstaff Elopement Videographer}

July 01, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Sara and Marcus were married at one of the most beautiful spots in Sedona. To keep Sedona beautiful, I will not say exactly where it was, but know that it’s a dream. Sedona is full of stunning, intimate locations, making it perfect for elopements. They were joined by Sara’s adorable daughter and their parents. Their vows were so tender and genuine, and as I edited their footage and audio, I felt so much happiness for them! It is incredible how life can bring people together, separate them for a time, and then reunite them when they both need it most. Congratulations Sara and Marcus! Preview above, film below.

Sedona Cathedral Rock Elopement // Margot + Chris {Sedona elopement videographer}

July 01, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Margot and Chris flew from the east coast on a private plane to elope in Sedona. They thankfully dodged a few storms that threatened to delay their wedding. Sadly, Chris’s father passed away about a week before the wedding. To remember him, they brought his favorite hat, which is pictured above. I thought this was a sweet, sincere way for the couple to feel like he was there with them.

Margot told us that she had been divorced for 25 years and was so happy to find love again. The two were giddy with love and they were one of the smoochiest couples I’ve ever filmed. It is a great reminder that we have no idea where life will take us, and love can come when we least expect it.

The couple also wanted an authentic Native American ceremony. They asked to keep their full wedding film private, and I happily respect that, but know that it was full of singing, live flute, and incredibly powerful and moving words about the earth, letting go of negativity from the past, and moving forward with devotion.

This elopement was planned by Weddings in Sedona and they commit to helping couples find genuine, authentic Native American officiants. This ceremony was beautifully officiated by Mario Black Wolf, a Medicine Man from the Mechica-Apache Tribe. Anthony Flesch played the Native American flute, which brought a lovely ambiance. Sedona Bride Photography captured incredible images.

L'Auberge de Sedona Wedding // Brittany + Jason {Sedona Wedding Videographer}

July 01, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Brittany and Jason, who live in Florida, had a very large wedding at L’Auberge de Sedona planned. When COVID-19 started disrupting everyone’s plans, they considered cancelling, but then Jason looked at Brittany and said, "Let’s fly to AZ and do it.” They were joined by 8 loved ones, and it was so beautiful. There are so many things going wrong right now, but I’m glad there are still so many things to celebrate, even when the circumstances may not be our first choice.

Sedona COVID-19 Elopement // Jessica + Denys {Sedona Elopement Videographer}

June 08, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Jessica and Denys were supposed to be getting married in the Caribbean on a white sand beach. When those plans fell through due to COVID-19, they traded white sand for the red sand of Sedona, and it was beautiful! I love seeing how couples are making the best of this difficult situation and choosing to find the joy. It really is inspiring! Jessica also told me that they are using the money they didn’t spend on a Caribbean wedding to remodel their house. Genius!

This was my first wedding with Weddings in Sedona , and since this elopement, I’ve already worked a few others. They are extremely well organized, hire talented photographers and musicians, and I would definitely recommend them for Sedona wedding planning.

Congratulations Jessica and Denys!!

Red Agave Resort Elopement // Jessica + Andy {Sedona and Flagstaff Wedding Videographer}

May 19, 2020 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Jessica and Andy planned to get married on May the 4th, and nothing could stop them, not even COVID-19. These two have so much going on! Both just graduated medical school last week and are heading off to begin their residencies. However, one important detail: their residencies are 500 miles apart. It was very important to them that they get married, regardless of a global pandemic, and start this new phase of life as a married couple.

Jessica’s parents were able to attend the wedding, as well as their beautiful pup Brutus. They were still married at Red Agave Adventure Resort like they had planned, and there was one perk: we had the entire place to ourselves. The intimate ceremony was followed by a toasts and cake cutting, which family and friends joined via Skype. There were some technological difficulties, but the love was still there. In addition to this film, I created an edit of the entire ceremony with their toasts, and some fun behind the scenes shots. I am keeping this off the internet for privacy reasons, but I am soooo glad Jessica and Andy had me document this beautiful day so that they can rewatch and celebrate their wedding day for years to come. May the 4th be with you!
