Laura & Spencer // BellaVue Estate, Flagstaff Wedding {Flagstaff Wedding Videographer}

January 05, 2023 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Laura and Spencer were married at the beautiful BellaVue Estate in Flagstaff, AZ. This was my first wedding at this classy Flagstaff venue, and I’m so grateful I was able to film there. This is a fabulous venue if you are looking for lodging for yourself and your closest guests at the wedding location. The mansion is charming and elegant, and I wish I would’ve had to time to explore all the beautiful bedrooms. The estate is also centrally located in Flagstaff.

During the ceremony, the officiant said to Spencer “Do you promise to give her your unwavering support and the freedom to be herself?” He heartily agreed and Laura promised the same to Spencer. This may be one of the best things we can do for those we love. As I filmed their wedding and heard their story, it was clear to me that Laura and Spencer are already doing this and I couldn’t be happier for this compassionate couple.

Alanna & Jaeden // Sedona Micro Wedding {Sedona wedding videographer}

November 03, 2022 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Alanna and Jaeden traveled from Kentucky to get married with their closest family friends near Bell Rock. They have two young children, as did a few of their friends, and at one point during the ceremony, all the kids were crying. Alanna and Jaeden laughed about it during the ceremony and said they 100% knew this would happen. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were the ultimate hype team. From the first look to the explosion of energy as they were pronounced man and wife, these are the kind of people you want backing you up. A few months after leaving Sedona, they had a big wedding in Kentucky and showed this film. Full film above, preview below.

Natalie and Eddie // Red Agave Resort Wedding {Sedona Wedding Videographer}

October 06, 2022 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Natalie and Eduardo were married at one of the prettiest venues in Sedona- Red Agave Resort. A few minutes before the first look with Natalie’s farther, a monsoon came through. It rained, poured, and hailed for a good hour, delaying the ceremony. Through it all, Natalie stayed very calm and cheerful. Eduardo hung with his little boys and groomsmen, and he never stopped smiling. I’m so grateful for flexible couples!! The rain stopped, leaving behind the moodiest, prettiest skies, and the show went on. One of the most memorable wedding moments of my career happened during the reception. Natalie surprised Eddie by serenading him with At Last, and it was stunning. As soon as the first few notes came out of her mouth, my jaw dropped. Preview above, full film below.

Cris & Tim // Elks Lodge {Flagstaff Wedding Videographer}

October 05, 2022 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Cris and Tim used to be my neighbors, and I just love them. We would exchange baked goods often. She makes incredible banana muffins with a streusel topping. She came to me this past spring and said, “I want to talk to you about wedding videography.” I said “For who?” and she said, “For me!”. Cris and Tim have been together for over 20 years. I would be lying if I didn’t say I thought they were already married. Their ceremony was so beautiful, and unlike any I have filmed before. These are two people 100% choosing to get married because they love each other unconditionally. Through good times, bad times, different phases of life, they still choose each other. Even more sweet, their adult daughter was able to be a maid of honor, witnessing her parents speak their vows to one another. Yes, I cried. Preview above, full film below.

Kayla & Jason // Sedona Merry Go Round Elopement {Sedona Elopement Videographer}

October 05, 2022 by Leslie Allred in elopement

For the second time this summer, I had a couple tell their family and friends they were just going on a vacation to Sedona, but really, they were eloping. Only her mom knew the plan. Kayla got ready with her mom on FaceTime. When Mom saw her, she exclaimed through tears “You look like Cinderella!” . It was one of those wedding moments I’ll never forget. Kayla and Jason did bring along their two little boys, and they were such troopers. We made the Jeep ride up to Merry Go Round and they had the sweetest ceremony up there. Kayla was my first bride that wanted to drive a Jeep to the top, so she drove a Jeep with me, the photographer, and the officiant, and Jason drove the other Jeep with the boys. A few weeks laters, back at home, they gathered their people for an “engagement party”, showed them this video, and celebrated.

Jaclyn & Patrick // The Garden's at Viola's {Flagstaff Wedding Videographer}

October 05, 2022 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Jaclyn and Patrick are climbers and, surprise…dancers. They told me they had a simple choreographed first dance that was no big deal. Well, they absolutely killed it with a full ballroom routine. They were both so confident and maintained steamy eye contact. Those dance lessons really paid off. I’ve received numerous comments about how magical their chemistry is, and I definitely agree. Viola’s was a fabulous venue for their wedding. The gardens were at peek beauty and their friends and family tore up the dance floor. So much love to Jaclyn and Patrick! Corina & Wesley // The Arboretum at Flagstaff {Flagstaff Wedding Videographer}

October 05, 2022 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Corina and Wesley are both educators here in Flagstaff. Wesley created their invitations using an old printing press. They had a typewriter for their guests to type out well wishes. Every table had one of their favorite books in the centerpiece. I noticed Matilda, Ella Enchanted, the Princess Bride, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and so many more. The thoughtful details, colorful florals, and the beautiful ponderosa pine trees framed their love perfectly. The Arboretum at Flagstaff is absolutely stunning and has gorgeous views of the peaks. Congratulations Corina and Wesley! Full film above, preview below.

Steven and Vanessa told their family back in Canada they were just going on a quick getaway to AZ. Turns out they eloped! These two had the adventure of a lifetime and followed their hearts. A few weeks later, they returned to Canada to get back in their wedding clothes, celebrate with family and friends and show them this film. Congrats Steven and Vanessa. Allie + Brandon // Agave of Sedona + Los Abrigados {Sedona Wedding Videographer}

August 18, 2022 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Allie and Brandon had a beautiful wedding coordinated by Jane in the Woods. They had their ceremony at Agave of Sedona, followed by an incredible creekside reception at Los Abrigados. It’s not often that weddings change locations for the reception, but it is definitely an option worth considering, especially if the guest count is on the smaller side, which this one was. I had never been to Los Abrigados, and it was gorgeous. The trees are stunning, and everything was so green, which is a fun contrast from the red rock. Congratulations to Allison and Brandon. Also I have to mention that my sister’s name is Alison (with 1 L), and she married a Brandon too. Congrats Allie and Brandon! Full film above, preview below.

Chad + Seda // The Gardens at Viola's {Flagstaff Wedding Videographer}

August 18, 2022 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Chad and Seda have an unforgettable love story. Seda came to Flagstaff from Turkey for school. She met Chad, and they fell in love. She was planning to go back to Turkey before starting her PhD, and did temporarily. Chad tells a story during his vows about their last afternoon together before she returned to Turkey. The were coming home from Sedona and heading up Oak Creek Canyon when the song “Always Remember Us This Way” by Lady Gaga came on. Chad looked over to see a tear falling down her cheek, and knew then he would do whatever it took for them to be together.

Seda’s dress was made in Turkey specifically for her. In the films you can also see the Turkish “evil eye” pinned to Chad and many of the guests which brings safety and protection. Seda’s family could not attend the wedding, but they were there on an iPad tuning in even though it was the middle of the night in Turkey. Even better though, after this Flagstaff wedding, Chad and Seda traveled to Turkey for a second wedding. Congratulations you two! Full film above, preview below.

Marley + Bill // Sedona Elopement {Sedona Elopement Videographer}

August 18, 2022 by Leslie Allred in elopement

I love a true elopement. Just the two of them, far from home. They were easy going on all the details because getting married was what mattered most. Marley and Bill were genuine and sweet and exchanged vows where they were vulnerable and real. I’m so happy for these two, and grateful to witness such sacred moments. Also, this was the windiest ceremony I’ve ever filmed. Marley put her own veil in, and that thing stayed put, which was miraculous, because veils seem to fly off 80% of the time. Brittany + Mike // Sky Ranch Lodge Wedding {Sedona Wedding Videographer}

August 18, 2022 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Sky Ranch Lodge is one of my favorite venues. It’s exhilarating to be up on the hill, right in the center of Sedona, overlooking the city and the red rocks. Brittany and Mike were married with their closest family and friends on a beautiful, sunny day. They started off with a private vow exchange in the gardens. I love this option for couples who want to write their own vows, but don’t really want to share them in front of everyone. There are many reason to do this- some don’t want to sob in front of everyone, others feel they are too personal for everyone to hear, and some are scared of public speaking. Do whatever you want on your wedding day!!

The private vow exchange was then followed by a beautiful ceremony, sunset portrait session at the vortex (Sky Ranch shuttles us there, which is so conventient), and then a killer dance party. Congrats Brittany and Mike! Film above, preview below.

Katy & Ryan // Chapel of the Holy Cross Sedona Elopement

July 06, 2022 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Katy and Ryan eloped at the Chapel of the Holy Cross. Ever since moving here 4 years ago, I have been anxiously awaiting my chance to film here. COVID seemed to keep cancelling them. Finally, my opportunity came with Katy and Ryan. One of the wonderful things about getting married here is the privacy. They close the road to visitors during the wedding so you have the place to yourself. The views from the church property are stunning. The only thing to keep in mind about this location is that it is impossible to capture the views through the chapel windows during the actual ceremony, because to do so, you would have to expose for the cliffs, making all the people completely silhoutted, and flash photography is not allowed. This is not much of an issue to me though, because after the ceremony you step outside and can get all the red rock shots your heart desires. This historic Sedona building is so unique- there is really nothing like it. Congrats to Katy and Ryan! Preview above, film below.

Alexa & Zack // Rancho Los Lagos Sedona Wedding

July 06, 2022 by Leslie Allred in wedding

Alexa and Zack came from Illinois to get married at Rancho Los Lagos, a beautiful estate tucked away against Oak Creek not too far from Cathedral Rock. The wedding was planned by Cloth and Flame and the details, decor, and vibe were stunning. Zack played DJ, and honestly, his playlist was amazing. I’ve added several songs I heard at that wedding to my own playlist.

This property had so many great places to film. We did a first look with dad by the main house, and then dad drove us up a steep dirt road in a side by side to where Zack was waiting for the first look. The views of Cathedral up there took my breath away. The ceremony was righty by the lake fed by Oak Creek with massive sycamore and cottonwood trees framing the scene, and of course we had to make use of the little dock for photos and video after. Alexa and Zack also hired a professional star gazer who brought multiple telescopes so their guests could enjoy the night skies. This was a wedding where everyone had a great time and I think it was a one of kind experience no one will forget. Congrats Alexa and Zack! Full film above, preview below.

Emily & Casey // Agave of Sedona Wedding {Sedona Wedding Videographer}

July 06, 2022 by Leslie Allred in wedding

There were so many sweet moments from Emily and Casey’s Agave of Sedona wedding. There was a lot of mention of Emily’s father, who has passed away. He is clearly very missed, and during the ceremony, there was a beautiful finch that kept fluttering over the audience, perching and keeping watch. He stuck around for family portraits after, and it truly felt like a sign, a symbol, a coincidence, something for sure. I also just loved their vows and felt grateful that not only do I get to capture how a wedding looks, but how it sounds, and how it feels. We snuck away for some stunning portraits at sunset with photographer Haily Golich and the lighting was magic. This wedding was planned by Casey Green Weddings, and she is phenomenal. Sneak Peek above, full film below.
